Liberty, Justice and Fireworks For All

What a blessed time of year to reflect on the freedoms we all share. I have always enjoyed celebrating our patriotism. My mom made sure that we recognized the 4th in a big way when I was a kid. Fireworks (numerous displays), picnics, parties, devotionals, etc... I would say that the 4th of July ranks up there with Christmas for my mom. Thanks for the memories, Mama, you are truly amazing!
This year, Andrew, Toby and myself carried on that tradition. On the 3rd, we went to a outdoor carnival sponsored by a local church. Thousands were in attendance and we enjoyed being together, laughing at our little one. Toby loved waving his American flags and at one point, was broad casted on the big screen for all to see! On the 4th, we went to Pike County's fireworks and I was pleasantly surprised. They were GREAT and Toby enjoyed them too! (We met up with James, a true southern gentleman that works with Andrew, and his great family.) Toby didn't know what to think at first, but as long as his mommy was holding him tight, he thought they were pretty cool. Before we even left the parking lot, he was in la-la land, dreaming of ice cream, fireworks and happy times!
