Seriously...what the heck! Toby loves to have me take his picture at home but turns into this bundle of joy EVERY TIME I try to get his picture taken professionally. What is that about? But to be honest, these were the best pictures I ever got of him. Normally, he is crying and screaming. I swore I would never have THAT kid... It's funny the things you think or say BEFORE you become a mom. We were in Ohio a few weeks ago and decided to get all the cousins in a picture together. My little nugget was the only kid that we had the pleasure of spending this time with so attentively. Thank goodness for my sister-in-law, Jenny. She had me leave the room and even though she had 3 kids of her own to deal with, she helped Toby force a few smiles. Thanks Toby for such a LOVELY day!!!!!!!!
On the contrary, here is brother Tate. Enough said!

On a side note...Mom~Remember when I was in Middle School, maybe 7th grade and I wanted to wear a white sweater for my school pictures? You adamantly said "no" because it would wash out my face. But I stuffed the sweater in my back-pack and slipped it on before the pictures anyway. What an idiot I was! Did I think you WEREN'T going to find out when the pictures that YOU paid for came back a few weeks later. :)

I loved your comments today. The things we go thru as moms...My favorite picture is the one where Toby is kissing Tate. Both of your boys are so adorable...little Tate reminds me of Hunter when he was a baby...I just love those cheeks!
I love the pictures. The so called bad ones are always the best because they capture kids at their best.
It wasn't that bad. Moms always think its worse than it is. How many suckers did he have in his pocket? Tate is the man. Toby will have all these fond memories of being a kid because you have the pictures to show. I wonder what he will think of himself some day. We will be there for the grown up years too. Oh!! no!! TEENAGER TOO.

I love this post. I love how you made the collage of them! Toby and Tate are simply amazing!! Brothers forever. I love the ones of Toby.....and you are right, he is a downright ham with you at home, or here with the family. But he looks like it was a better professional day than normal! He loves his little brother so much, it's precious. He has since Tate was just tiny.
And Tate, what a personality that little guy has. Just taking in the world, loving life, and nothing much upsets him. I want to print these out and put them on my desk!

oh....and when I read that last part when you called me at work yesterday, I really had to work to keep from laughing my head off. I remember that!! And when you handed me the pictures....and you DID look washed out with your blonde hair, and you looked at me kind of like "Oops?"
That was sooo funny reading about it again! You are in for some fun times with your little guys, as they are teenagers, too. It's a wonderful ride. I'm nuts about you, Michelle. And so happy to be your mom. At every level. Big bangs, white sweater, pink room, the whole shabang.
It's probably only going to get worse! My boys are just the opposite. Will pouts if he doesn't get to be the one in the picture. I love the colors you chose for the pictures. So cute!
