Last Saturday, I went to a few yard sales and found these! I saw a closed shoe box labeled "$3 for all contents" and I got curious. I opened the box and it was as if a ray of light hit the box at the perfect angle and angels started singing the Hallelujah chorus. Toby loves Matchbox cars and may even be slightly obsessed with them. He even sleeps with one car in each hand. I was totally a rock star when I came home, washed them and presented these to my boy. 119 cars to be exact. 
This was also a hit. In addition to loving cars, he adores Thomas the Train. He has so many battery operated cars and tons of track that he plays with everyday! This lil' gem was only $0.25 but you would have thought that I gave Toby a REAL train. He squealed with delight and it made me chuckle.

I love your description of when you opened the box. I remember how EXCITED you were when you found them and called me. It was almost like the day you found all the Thomas the Train stuff.
I don't think I EVER saw Toby without a car, truck or train in his hand...and usually several. Even sleeping in the car...he wouldn't let go.

wow! what awesome deals! you are inspiriing me to doa little deal section on my blog....i've got some good ones. but none like that lot of cars. i got a ziploc full for 3 dollars and there was probably 20 in there and I thought I was rocking it. Way to go!
