I think that technology is amazing! Eventhough I am classified as a "High Risk" pregnancy, I have enjoyed receiving numerous ultrasounds throughout my pregnancies especially the 3D's. I think for Toby I had 12 and so far for this pregnancy, I have had 6. I can tell that this guy has long fingers and legs. Of course, he has HUGE lips. (It is an ongoing argument between Andrew and I who has the bigger lips. :) This baby is a complete Rocky Balboa and I love and hate it at the same time. Toby didn't move much during his stay "at the inn" for 8 months. I remember the doctors would take 2 metal spoons and bang them up against my stomach just to get a rise out of him, which would normally not work. But this guy let's me know he is ready to see the world all the time! I find myself just staring at the "show" that my belly is putting on. Just movin' and a groovin'! I can't really imagine anyone more spirited than Toby but if all this movement is any indication, please wish me luck or send Prozac! My uncle Ken told me that I will be completely surprised how different my 2 boys will be. They have 2 close in age and it is true; Ian and Nathan are both so AWESOME in their own ways.
I have the common complaints that other women have, I'm sure. I can't sleep, I waddle like a duck, I pee all the time, my husband is either my best friend or the person I want to hurt...badly. But the impending delivery date is fast approaching so I know this is all temporary. With Toby I had Pre-eclampsia and was miserable from being swollen and the extreme head-aches were debilitating. I am grateful I have no trace of Toxemia this time around, so I can deal with being uncomfortable alittle bit longer.
I had Toby naturally, no epidural. I'm certainly not bragging but I can't figure out why I am petrified this time to give birth. Do I get an epidural, do I wait and see, do I plan to go naturally, is my water going to break at the most inoportune time, who cleans it up and do I send that person flowers? I am a planner. I have to know who, what, where, when etc... in every aspect in my life. I wish I could be alittle more spontaneous. (Hey, I'm a work in progress)
Sooooooooo, I have an appointment tomorrow and one next Wednesday. Maybe the Doc will have some answers so I can start planning...Wish me luck!

cool ultrasound pictures! i've never had a 3D one. This little guy looks so adorable. I can't wait to see him and squeeze him and maybe kiss those fat lips? :)

If you are a planner, then you need to ride a roller coaster to bring on labor, let the staff at the amusement park clean up the water (hey, it's outside and they have hoses) and make sure you take the midwife with you. When I lived in upper New York state there were several roads with potholes big enough to being on labor. lol Best of luck! At least you know it won't hang on forever!

Michelle, you are doing great. I know you are so uncomfortable but you are really keeping busy and helping others through it all. And having fun along the way.
