Bust a Move

Have you ever done anything completely out of your comfort zone but afterwards, you were so glad you did it?
Last night, Andrew, Toby, Tate and I attended a wedding of an African American gentleman that works at Swanton Welding. We were one of the ONLY white people there and we had so much fun! After the animated wedding, we walked into the reception with the R&B music so loud that you really couldn't talk to the person next you and I loved every second of it! I'm not sure about my genealogy, but there MUST be some African heritage somewhere because there is alittle soul in me that likes to come out on occasion. Ok, let me say this. Black people can dance and I mean really dance. I felt like I should have paid some type of admission to watch what looked like professional dancers. I know Andrew and I looked out of place and I didn't want to be the "stiff" white folks so guess who got out on the dance floor and shook a tail feather? Yep...yours truly. Andrew and I worked that Electric Slide, let me tell ya! Was I embarrassed? Sure, but you only live once and the videographer was sure to zoom in on us so the memories will last forever for the happy couple...you're welcome for the laughs Fred and Pam!

ohymygosh, when you called me about this, I laughed and laughed. And I think I told this story at least five times to different people. I can just picture it.
Yep, white men can't jump, BUT my white girl can boogie with the best of them.
(I bet their reception wasn't near as fun as yours, tho)
